Position Information

$300 to $500 per weekend

Summary of Position

The Contemporary Music Staff brings their instrumental or vocal gifts, abilities and skills to create a worship environment that glorifies God and builds up the Church. They will participate in weekly worship and special events.

Essential Functions
  1. Model worship for the Contemporary team and congregation through attitude and actions.
  2. Come musically and spiritually prepared to rehearsal and worship. Engage with the tools and resources provided by staff. 
  3. Attend scheduled rehearsal, service and ministry events punctually.

  • Engage in ongoing personal and professional development through training, reading, coaching or mentoring, in order to grow as a leader and servant of Christ.
  • Demonstrate and model Christ Church’s core values in daily work, relationships and service to others.
  • Maintain a posture of flexibility by assisting with projects or assignments outside the immediate scope of the role when needed.
  • Contribute to a culture of grace, care and prayer by being available to support, encourage and pray with staff and volunteers and congregants as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: 2-5 years | Church and secular environments
Providing own instruments when appropriate

  • Support and model individual spiritual formation i.e. Worship, Grow and Serve.  (Weekly worship, prayer, scripture reading, small group, volunteering/service, etc.).
